Texas Hospital Saves $34,000 in Taxes
Executive Summary
In 2022, PVS appealed three accounts for a hospital client in Texas on the basis that the assets being assessed were being double taxed. The proposed values from the Appraisal District were appealed and presented to the Appraisal Review Board. PVS prevailed in securing large reductions on all three accounts.
Challenges
To identify the assets that the Appraisal District was assessing on the ancillary accounts and convince the Appraisal Review Board that the assets were being double assessed.

PVS researched the client’s asset listing and compared it to the appraisal district records and discovered that the same assets were being assessed twice. We drafted statements for the client to sign affirming such and presented the information to the Appraisal Review Board.
