Daniel Taylor

Hello everyone! My name is Daniel Taylor, and I am the supervisor of personal property surgery-related accounts here at PVS. I’ve been at PVS for 4.5 years now, and I have recently moved to my new role as a supervisor about 6 months ago. Before that, I was a consultant and I worked primarily on dialysis-related accounts preparing returns and settling values with assessors when they came back higher than what we filed.

As a supervisor here at PVS, I work with consultants to help them prepare returns. For the 2024 tax season, we have three consultants on our team who handle a wide range of clients. I also assist in the settling of appeals and the negotiation of values when necessary. Right now, we are in the middle of tax season so return preparation for the upcoming April and May deadlines is foremost on our minds. As the middle of May rolls around, assessors will begin to finalize their values though, and that is when we will begin the work of fixing any values that may have come back higher than what we filed. Lowering values can be tricky at times depending on if you get an assessor who is unwilling to work with us at all and this is when we typically must formally appeal to get an account fixed.

On the personal side, I enjoy staying active, I play basketball a few times every week and I golf a lot in the summers. I also enjoy hiking and traveling, and I usually spend a few summer weekends every year hiking and climbing mountains in Colorado. On that note, I’m planning on going up Longs Peak in the Rocky Mountain National Park this summer, and I’m looking forward to some more summer travels after the busyness of tax season eases up.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have, and thank you for trusting us with your property tax needs!

Our team of consultants oversee all compliance aspects of our clients’ property tax portfolios. We manage the preparation and filing of the annual business personal property tax returns, as well as the analysis of the valuation issued by the tax assessor.
